6.9　季氏使闵子骞为费宰¹。闵子骞曰：“善为我辞焉！如有复我者，则吾必在汶上矣²。”

【译文】

季氏派人请闵子骞任费邑的邑宰。闵子骞对来人说：“好好地替我推辞吧！如果再来召我，那我一定逃到汶水北面去了。”

季氏派人请闵子骞任费邑的邑宰。闵子骞对来人说：“好言地替我推辞吧！如果再来召我，那我一定逃到汶水北面去了。”

【English Translation】

Ji¹ sent a person to invite Min Zi Qian to be the county magistrate of Bi County. Min Zi Qian² said to that person: “Please decline it for me! If I am invited again, I will definitely flee to the north of Wenshui River.³”
