13.12 子曰：“如有王者，必世而后仁1。”

孔子说：“如有王者兴起，一定需要三十年才能使仁道遍行天下。”

【English Translation】
Confucius said: “If a sage is appointed to govern a State, it will definitely take thirty years to make the people virtuous and fundamentally make the way of benevolence prevail throughout the world.”
