子路篇 13.10

13.10　子曰：“苟有用我者，期月而已可也¹，三年有成。”

【译文】

孔子说：“如果有人用我治理国政，一年可初有成效，三年可获得成功。”

孔子说：“如果有国家重用我，让我从政，一年可初步实现这一切（接上条 繁荣、富强、文化教育），三年可取得更理想的成果，变成富强康乐的国家。”

【English Translation】

Confucius said: “If a State appoints me to engage in politics, I can preliminarily achieve all of these (continuing from above item, it refers to prosperity, wealth and education of a state) in one year, and in three years I can achieve more ideal results, and turn it into a prosperous, powerful and peaceful State.”
