14.19 子言卫灵公之无道也，康子曰：“夫如是，奚而不丧1？”孔子曰：“仲叔圉治宾客2，祝治宗庙，王孙贾治军旅。夫如是，奚其丧？”
【译文】
孔子谈到卫灵公的昏乱无道，季康子说：“既然如此，为什么他的国家不败亡呢？”孔子说：“有仲叔圉管理接待宾客的事，祝管理宗庙祭祀，王孙贾管理军事，像这样，怎么会败亡呢？”

【English Translation】
When Confucius talked about the fatuity of Duke Ling of Wei, Ji Kang Zi1 said: “If so, why hasn’t the State of Wei perished yet?” Confucius said: “With Zhong Shu Yu2 managing diplomatic matters, Zhu3 managing ancestral temple sacrifices, and Wang Sun Gu4 commanding the army, how could it perish?”
