4.6 子曰：“我未见好仁者，恶不仁者。好仁者，无以尚之1；恶不仁者，其为仁矣，不使不仁者加乎其身。有能一日用其力于仁矣乎？我未见力不足者。盖有之矣，我未之见也。”
【译文】
孔子说：“我未曾见到喜好仁的人和厌恶不仁的人。喜好仁的人，认为没有任何事物能高于仁；厌恶不仁的人，他实行仁，是不使任何不仁的事情出现在自己身上。有谁能在一天里用全力去实施仁呢？我没见过力量有不够的。或许还是有这样的人吧，只是我没有见到。”

孔子说：“我未曾见到全心投入地喜好仁的人和厌恶不仁的人。真正喜好仁的人，认为没有任何事物能高于仁；真正厌恶不仁的人，他实行仁，是包容并感化不仁之人，使其得以摆脱不仁之心。有谁能在一天里用全力去实施仁呢？我没见过有此志向但力量不够的。或许还是有这样的人吧，只是我没有见到。”
【English Translation】
Confucius said: “I have never seen a person who devotes his efforts to benevolence and detests unkindness. The people who devote his efforts to benevolence believe that nothing is important than the benevolence. Meanwhile, as for the people who detest unkindness, they practice benevolence so as to forgive and influence the wicked people, helping them to get rid of unkindness. Is there any person who can be benevolent all day long? I have not seen anyone with such aspiration yet being unable to reach. Perhaps such people do exist, but I have not seen them yet.
