14.32 微生亩谓孔子曰1：“丘何为是栖栖者与2？无乃为佞乎？”孔子曰：“非敢为佞也，疾固也。”
【译文】
微生亩对孔子说：“你为什么这样忙碌不安的呢？莫非是要显示你的口才吗？”孔子说：“我不敢显示口才，我是厌恶那种顽固不化的人。”

微生亩对孔子说：“你为什么这样忙碌不安的呢？莫非是要为了用你的口才讨人喜欢吗？”孔子说：“我不是那么爱说话的，天下病了，不停游说、规劝是我的责任。”
【English Translation】
Wei Sheng Mu1 said to Confucius: “Why are you so busy and restless? Is it to please people with your eloquence?” Confucius said: “I am not that talkative. As the world is sick, it is my responsibility to keep traveling and exhorting.”
