子曰1：“学而时习之，不亦说乎2？有朋自远方来3，不亦乐乎？人不知而不愠4，不亦君子乎？”
【译文】
孔子说：“学习中时时加以温习，不是很愉悦吗？有朋友从远方来，不是很快乐吗？别人虽不了解我，但我不怨恨，这不正是君子吗？”

孔子说：“对所学的知识随时随地温习实践，难道不是一件令人愉悦的事情吗？有志同道合的友人从远方而来，难道不是一件令人快乐的事情吗？他人即便不理解我，但我却不心存怨恨，这不正是君子的风范吗？”

Confucius said： “It is pleasant to constantly and continuously review and practice what we have learned, isn’t it? It is joyful to have like-minded friends at a distance visiting us, isn’t it? Even though someone does not understand me, I hold no resentment against said person. Isn’t it the demeanor of a noble person?”
