9.25 子曰：“主忠信。毋友不如己者。过则勿惮改。”1
【译文】
孔子说：“为人要以忠信为主。不要与不同于自己的人交友。有了过失，就不要害怕改正。”

孔子说：“为人应以忠信为要。每个朋友都有值得我学习或反思的地方。有了过失，不要畏惧去纠正。”
【English Translation】
Confucius said: “A person should take faithfulness and sincerity as the fundamentals. People may learn a lot from any of their friends. When making mistakes, one should make corrections without fear.” 1
