13.19 樊迟问仁。子曰：“居处恭，执事敬，与人忠。虽之夷狄，不可弃也。”
【译文】
樊迟问怎样才是仁。孔子说：“平日在家态度恭敬，办事严肃认真，对人忠心真诚。即使到夷狄之国，这些品格也不能丢弃。”

樊迟问怎样才是仁。孔子说：“时时保持恭敬的态度，办事时要对所做之事保有敬意，待人接物忠心真诚。即使到野蛮的夷狄之国，这些品格也不能借口舍弃。”
【English Translation】
Fan Chi asked Confucius what benevolence is. Confucius said: “A benevolent person maintains a respectful attitude at all times. He is reverent when doing work, and sincere and honest with people. Even in the savage and uncivilized countries, these good characters should not be abandoned for any pretext.”
