15.23 子曰：“君子不以言举人，不以人废言。”
【译文】
孔子说：“君子不根据一个人的言辞就推举他，也不因为一个人品德不好就全部否定他的言辞。”

孔子说：“君子不会因为一个人某些话说得好就抬高他整个人，也不因为一个人某一点有缺失就否定他的全部言辞。”
【English Translation】
Confucius said: “A noble person does not dignify a person in all aspects only based on a good point he makes, nor does he reject a person’s all words just because of a certain shortcoming of him.”
