16.10 孔子曰：“君子有九思：视思明，听思聪，色思温，貌思恭，言思忠，事思敬，疑思问，忿思难，见得思义。”
【译文】
孔子说：“君子有九种考虑：看的时候考虑是否看明白了，听的时候考虑是否听清楚了，对于脸色考虑是否温和，对于容貌考虑是否恭敬，对于言谈考虑是否忠诚，做事时考虑是否认真，遇到疑问考虑如何向人请教，发怒时考虑有何后患，见有可得的时候考虑是否合乎道义。”

孔子说：“君子有九种情况需要思考：看的时候是否看清楚看明白了，听的时候是否听清楚听明白了，表情是否温和，言行是否恭敬，言谈是否忠实诚恳，做事是否有诚敬之心，遇到疑问思考向谁请教、如何请教，发怒时思考有何后患，见有可得的时候思考是否合乎道义，不要见利忘义。”
【English Translation】
Confucius said: “A noble person needs to consider in nine situations: whether he sees clearly and understands when looking; whether he hears clearly and understands when listening; whether his expression is gentle; whether his words and deeds are respectful; whether his words are sincere and honest; whether he has a sincere and respectful heart when doing things; when having questions, he should consider whom to ask and how to ask for advice; when getting angry, he should consider what consequences there will be; and in front of benefits, he should consider whether it is in line with morality and not forget righteousness for the sake of profit.”
