8.18 子曰：“巍巍乎！舜、禹之有天下也而不与焉1。”

孔子说：“这是多么崇高伟大啊！舜、禹得有天下，却好像与他们个人不相关一样。”

【English Translation】
Confucius said: “How lofty and great the Emperor Shun and Yu1 are! Shun and Yu governed the world, but they regarded it as having nothing to do with themselves and did not take pride in holding their positions.”
