5.24 子曰：“孰谓微生高直1？或乞醯焉2，乞诸其邻而与之。”

孔子说：“谁说微生高这个人直爽？有人向他讨一点醋，他不直说没有，却向邻居讨来给那个人。”

Confucius said: “Who said that Wei Sheng Gao1 is straightforward? When a person asked him for some vinegar, he didn’t directly say he has no vinegar, instead he borrowed some from his neighbor and gave it to the said person.”
