4.10 子曰：“君子之于天下也，无适也1，无莫也2，义之与比3。”

孔子说：“君子对于天下之事，没有必定要这样做的，也没有必定不这样做的，所做唯求合乎义。”

Confucius said: “As for the affairs of the world, a noble person does not have something that definitely can be done or absolutely cannot be done. He only does what is righteous.”
