7.34 子曰：“若圣与仁，则吾岂敢？抑为之不厌，诲人不倦，则可谓云尔已矣。”公西华曰：“正唯弟子不能学也。”
【译文】
孔子说：“若说圣与仁，我怎么敢当？我只是学习工作从不厌烦，教诲别人从不疲倦，可说就是如此罢了。”公西华说：“这正是我们弟子学不到的。”

【English Translation】
Confucius said: “As for being a sage or a benevolence person, how dare I claim to be one? I am just never tired of learning and working, and never weary of teaching, that’s it.” Gong Xi Hua1 said: “This is exactly what we students want to learn but cannot achieve.”
