9.2 达巷党人曰1：“大哉孔子！博学而无所成名。”子闻之，谓门弟子曰：“吾何执？执御乎？执射乎？吾执御矣。”
【译文】
达巷这个地方有人说：“孔子真伟大！他学识渊博，而不以一项专长来树立名声。”孔子听到后，对学生们说：“我专干哪一项呢？驾车吗？射箭吗？我还是驾车吧。”

【English Translation】
In this place called Da Xiang, some people said: “Confucius is really great! He has extensive knowledge, not just an expert in a certain field.” When hearing this, Confucius said to his students: “Which field should I specialize in? Driving a chariot? Archery? I’d rather drive a chariot.”
