15.7 子曰：“直哉史鱼1！邦有道，如矢；邦无道，如矢。君子哉蘧伯玉！邦有道，则仕；邦无道，则可卷而怀之2。”
【译文】
孔子说：“史鱼真是刚直啊！国家有道，他像箭那样直；国家无道，他也像箭那样直。蘧伯玉真是个君子啊！国家有道，他出来做官；国家无道，他可以把自己的才能收藏起来。”

孔子说：“史鱼真是刚直啊！国家有道，他像箭那样直行；国家无道，他也像箭那样直行。蘧伯玉真是个君子啊！国家有道，他出来做官；国家无道，他可以隐退藏身。”
【English Translation】
Confucius said: “Shi Yu1 is really upright! When the State is governed by the righteous Way, he goes straight forward like an arrow. When the State is in disorderly governance, he also goes straight forward like an arrow. Qu Bo Yu2 is really a noble person! When the State is governed by the righteous Way, he served as an official. When the State is in disorderly governance, he can retreat and hide himself.”
