卫灵公篇 15.11

15.11　颜渊问为邦。子曰：“行夏之时¹，乘殷之辂²，服周之冕³，乐则《韶》《舞》⁴。放郑声⁵，远佞人⁶。郑声淫，佞人殆⁷。”

【译文】

颜渊问怎样治理国家。孔子说：“用夏朝的历法，坐殷朝的车子，戴周朝的礼帽，音乐则用《韶》乐和《武》乐。摒弃郑国的音乐，远斥谄媚的小人。郑国的音乐靡曼淫滥，谄媚的小人很危险。”

颜渊请教治国之道。孔子说：“继承夏朝的历法，沿用殷朝马车的规格，戴周朝的礼帽，音乐则用《韶》乐。摒弃郑国的音乐，远绝巧言谄媚的小人。郑国的音乐恣肆放纵，扰人心智，谄媚的小人很危险。”

【English Translation】

Yan Yuan¹ asked Confucius about the way of governing the State. Confucius said: “Inherit the calendric system of the Xia Dynasty, follow the specifications of the carriage of the Yin Dynasty, wear the ritual hats of the Zhou Dynasty, and use the music of “Shao”². Discard the music of the Zheng State, and stay away from glib and sycophantic persons. The music of the Zheng State is unrestrained and disturbs people’s minds, and the sycophantic persons are very dangerous.”

1. 夏之时：指夏朝的历法，以今农历一月为每年的第一月。周朝历法则以农历十一月为每年的第一月。夏历比较合于农时。 ↩ ↩²
