15.10 子贡问为仁。子曰：“工欲善其事，必先利其器。居是邦也，事其大夫之贤者，友其士之仁者。”

子贡问怎样实现仁。孔子说：“工匠想做好他的事，一定先完善他的工具。居住在这个国家，就要奉事大夫中的贤者，结交士人中的仁者。”

【English Translation】
Zi Gong1 asked about how to achieve the character of benevolence. Confucius said: ” if a craftsman wants to do his job well, he must first perfect his tools, that is, cultivate his own virtue. When living in this State, one should serve the virtuous officials and associate with the benevolent people among the scholars.”
