5.4 子贡问曰：“赐也何如？”子曰：“女，器也。”曰：“何器也？”曰：“瑚琏也1。”

子贡问道：“我这个人怎么样？” 孔子说：“你如同一个器具。” 子贡问：“什么器具？” 孔子说：“如同宗庙中盛放黍稷的礼器。”

子贡请教：“我这个人怎么样？” 孔子说：“你如同一个器具。” 子贡继续请教：“什么器具？” 孔子说：“如同宗庙中盛放黍稷的礼器。”
【English Translation】
Zi Gong asked Confucius: “What kind of person am I?” Confucius said: “You are like a vessel.” Zi Gong continued to ask: “What kind of vessel?” Confucius said: “It is the ceremonial vessels that hold millet in ancestral temple.”
