5.16 子谓子产1：“有君子之道四焉：其行己也恭，其事上也敬，其养民也惠，其使民也义。”
【译文】
孔子评论子产，说：“他有四个方面合于君子之道：他自己的行为庄重谦逊，他事奉君主恭敬有礼，他养护民众有恩惠，他役使民众合于道理。”

孔子评论子产，说：“他有四个方面合于君子之道：做事时自己保持庄重谦逊、尽忠职守，他事奉上位者恭敬有礼，他养护民众有恩惠，他役使民众合于道义。”
【English Translation】
Speaking of Zi Chan1, Confucius said: “He conforms to the Way of noble person in four aspects: he maintains the dignity, humility and loyalty in his work. In addition, he serves the ruler reverently, supports the civilians beneficently and employs the civilians in comply with righteousness.”
