2.4 子曰：“吾十有五而志于学1，三十而立，四十而不惑，五十而知天命，六十而耳顺，七十而从心所欲，不逾矩。”
【译文】
孔子说：“我十五岁有志于学习，三十岁能立身于世，四十岁对世事不再有疑惑，五十岁懂得什么是天命，六十岁对听到的一切都深明其义，七十岁可随心所欲，却不会违反规矩。”

孔子说：“我十五岁有志于求学，三十岁能立终身志向，四十岁对世事明理，五十岁懂得什么是生命的意义，六十岁对听到的一切都能明了其中深意，且接纳一切，七十岁可自在行事，却不会逾越规矩。”

Confucius said: “At fifteen, I devoted myself to studies; at thirty, I established the aspiration of my life; at forty, I understood the truth of the world; at fifty, I realized the meaning of life; at sixty, I completely understand everything I heard and accept everything; at seventy, I follow what my heart desires without overstepping the boundaries.”
