2.17 子曰：“由1，诲女知之乎2！知之为知之，不知为不知，是知也3。”
【译文】
孔子说：“由，我教你怎样才叫作知道了！知道就是知道，不知道就是不知道，这才是聪明的。”

孔子说：“仲由啊，我教你如何才算是真正的知道吧！知道就是知道，不知道就是不知道，这才是智慧之所在。”

Confucius said: “Zhong You, let me teach you what the so-called ‘understanding’ is. You should understand exactly what you know and what you do not know, which is the wisdom.”
