为政篇 2.1

2.1　子曰：“为政以德，譬如北辰居其所而众星共之¹。”

【译文】

孔子说：“以德治政，当政者就会像北极星一样安居其位，而众星都环绕着它。”

孔子说：“以德为核心治理政务，当政者就会像北极星那样安住其位，而众星都会围绕着他。”

Confucius said： “If a ruler governs the state in accordance with the virtue, he will stay on an invariable position like the Polaris, and the civilians will follow and support the ruler, as if stars surround the Polaris.”
